*A diner in Paris?!*

That's right, a real diner in Paris... 2 Actually!
Its name is "Breakfast in America"

If you feel like spending an American night or if you fell home sick,
the BIA diner will be glad to welcome you!

This diner was opened by a former American screenwriter in France who wanted to share his passion for pancakes, fried bacon and coffee filter more than anything. So one day, he decided to put a small touch of America in Paris.

The formula is simple:
the breakfasts are served at all hours,
burgers from noon

The only difference with the USA is that Breakfast in America also serves wine (and beer)!

MY OPINION

(picture of me and my favorite bacon cheeseburger)
I took a bacon cheeseburger, an AW root beer et a NY cheesecake.

Ambiance
Waitors and Waitresses are very warmhearted, cheerful and friendly.

Dish
A bacon cheeseburger with 2 real fried bacon slices with a unique taste.

Desert
Cheesecake a little bit of chantilly cream and a cute rasberry grout dawing.

Soda
1 can of AW root beer that brought back a lot of memories.
And finished my meal with the famous Bottomless Mug O'Joe.

/!\ADVICE/!\
Apparently, in the waitors' opinion, French people are fond of American food, so before going to the BIA diner, anticipate at least 30 minutes in the waiting line, on any days, and 10 minutes of walking for the digestion.

Bon appétit et n'hésitez pas à nous partager votre avis!

*Gastronomy at Aurillac*

Still April but July isn't as far as we think:
Time for Summer and the sun to rise, Time to sit back and relax...

And to begin the trip, from July 3rd until July 5th 2009, not only we'll have to celebrate the American Independence day but in France, at Aurillac, nearby the Château de Salles, will take place the Gastronomic Festival: The European Flavor!

A festival that will show you how to enjoy French gastronomy in an orginal, convivial and modern way. Cheese, potatoes, meat, veggies... You named it, every specialty will be there.

During these delicious 3 days, you'll be able to attend French Cuisine Learning, tasting workshops for little ones... With a few little surprises!

And that's not all! For this special event, the Château de Salles proposes the "Greedy Weekend" Special Offer valuable for 2 persons to spend an unforgettable stay.

*April Fool's day*

In modern day France, the first day of April is called "Poisson d'Avril" or "April Fish."

An April is a young fish and thus, one which is easily caught. French children fool friends by taping a paper fish to the victim's back and, when the "fool" discovers this trick, yelling: "Poisson d'Avril!"
Traditionally, French pranks must include a fish (or at least a vague reference to same within the joke) and it is not unusual for friends to be presented with dainty presents fashioned in the form of a small fish on All Fool's Day.

Give it a try with this fish I offer to you all ready to be printed, cut and taped on a person's back:

The nickname of "Poisson d'Avril" is said to have been "acquired" by Napoleon I (Bonaparte) when he married Marie-Louise of Austria on Apri 1, 1810.
